THE BASS CLUB SUPPORTS WOMEN IN THE EDM INDUSTRY MAKING A HUGE IMPACT IN THE DMV

The Bass Club is a local DMV event company dedicated to creating unique EDM experiences throughout Virginia and the surrounding area. The company has become known for supporting emerging and local artists who have cultivated strong audiences while developing their own distinct sound, skills, and creative identities.

These events are especially impactful within the DMV because they create space for women and up-and-coming artists who are often underrepresented in the local electronic music scene. Frank, the owner of The Bass Club, is building something meaningful from the underground into something that continues to grow into a larger platform for artists, ravers, and creatives.

By bringing talent from across the region together, The Bass Club is helping introduce and strengthen genres such as Riddim and other forms of EDM within an area where these experiences are not always readily available. Beyond the music itself, Frank has cultivated a welcoming and inclusive environment where attendees can fully immerse themselves in something new, expressive, and unique.

The upcoming Girly Pop event continues that vision by bringing established and emerging artists together to create a fresh intersection of sound, art, and community. The event highlights the growing presence of women within the EDM scene while giving artists a platform to showcase their individuality and connect with new audiences.

The lineup features Sythyst as co-host, alongside Hexxa, Sheez_it, Bellatrxx, Psychohippie, and Lulu.

I will also be working with the event as part of the media team through Gangsta Paradise Media/Art (GPMEDIA), my creative media company. Through photography and event coverage, I will be documenting the artists, atmosphere, and overall experience of Girly Pop while helping highlight the talent and community that The Bass Club continues to cultivate within the DMV EDM scene.
